Self Reflection
My second last peer teaching session was also based on a model that was concept attainment. I taught verb using this model for presenting it chart and powerpoint presentations were used. Firstly I created an informal interaction with the students. Then I divided the class into 2 groups and they were provided with a set of words and asked them to paste it in the space provided in the table. They later examined it and find out common features in both tables. For making the concept more clear I played a verb song and guided them to sing it. Students sang the song interestingly. For giving them more experience and by providing 2 columns I asked them to point out the difference and that's how I gave the concept of verb. I also tested whether the concept was clear through an activity. Students later wrote examples of verbs on their own by providing positive and negative examples. It contained strong elements of instructional and nurtural value. The overall model lesson gave a positive impact on my teaching experience.
