 CONTENT ANALYSIS

 

The poem “We’re The World” is a famous lyric composed by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie Jr. It is presented in a lucid language, the unifying force of art transcending the boundaries of caste, creed and nationality.

 INFORMAL INTERACTION

Teacher communicates informally with the learners to create a good rapport, then teacher creates interest and readiness in the learner by asking them what all things they do to have fun.

 

ENTRY ACTIVITY

To create mental readiness among students, teacher shows a picture and asks learners to identify the person.

 

LINK TALK

Teacher leads the pupil to the lesson by explaining about the person shown in the picture and his famous dance moves and singing skill.Then Teacher presents a video of a song sung by the famous person.  Teacher now introduces the title of the poem, “We’re The World” by Micheal Jackson and Lionel Richie Jr, then the teacher slowly guides thelearners to the poem by giving a gist of the poem.

 

MODEL READING

Teacher reads the poem with correct pronunciation, rhythm, expression and voice modulation.

PROCESS READING

Let the learners read the poem and find out the meaning of difficult words from the glossary.

The love for mankind and the suffering people around the world have prompted the lyricists to sing a song like this.
