 Contend Analysis

Marvellous Travel is a beautiful poem written by Joshua Fernandez about his travelling experiences. This poem depicts the life of a person who leaves everything to enter a journey. He describes what he has seen or felt throughout this experience while he leaves.

Teacher communicates informally with the learners to create a good rapport, then teacher creates interest and

readiness in the learners by showing the video of different places and asks them weather they love travelling.

Entry Activity

To create mental readiness among students teacher presents a short video clip of the previous poem “From a railyway carriage” and asks them to list the scenes they have seen while travelling.

Link Talk

Teacher leads the pupil to the lesson by sharing some travel experiences. Then teacher introduces the title of the poem “ Marvellous Travel” by Joshua Fernandez.

The teacher reads the first two paragraphs of the story with correct stress and with proper pronunciation.

Teacher now asks the students to read the story silently while reading they are asked to find out the meaning of difficult words from the glossary.
